HOW DO I  

Search for Books:

1. Start by clicking on Books.
2. Conduct a simple key word search to find topics on your subject. 
•   Hint: Start with a generalized key word search.
3. Click return or press enter.
4. Scroll through your results. 
•   Hint: Your results will be listed from the most recently published to the oldest.
5. If you are interested in a book click on the title of that book.
•    Hint: If a book is at another TCC campus, don't let that dissuade you.  It's easy to request a book be sent to you from another campus.
6. If you are interested in a book and want to find it on the shelf, write down the library call number.  Call numbers are at the bottom of the page and look like this:  SF413 .E54 2012
• Hint: Call numbers always start with letters. 
7. Need Help: just Ask a Librarian. 

1. Start by clicking on Books.
2. Click on the field Title Begins With.
3. Type on the title of a work such as: 50 Shades of Grey
• Hint:  If the title of the work starts with an article, a word like "the" "an" or "a," exclude that word from your search query.
4. Press enter or return.

2. Scroll down and on the left hand side drop down box highlight "Visual Format."
3. Scroll back up and conduct a title or key word search.   
4. Hint:  Searching by using the phrase feature film often pulls up most of our popular media.
5. Press enter or return.

2. Type in the authors last name, then comma, then first name.  
• For example, King, Stephen
