Plagiarism Awareness & Citing Sources

Plagiarism violates the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities which defines plagiarism as "presenting within one's own work the ideas, representations, or words of another person without customary and proper acknowledgement of that person's authorship."

You can avoid plagiarism by properly citing the sources you use for research.

The library has resources to help with citing in a variety of styles (MLA, APA, and others.)

The Writing Centers can also help with your citation questions.
