Button Maker

Button Maker - American Button Machine 2.25"

The button maker equipment is currently housed at the Joint Use Library. Please contact Christopher Skipper (cskipper@tcc.edu) or Sydney Gordon (sgordon@tcc.edu) to arrange use of the button maker. The button maker can be shipped via intercampus mail, picked up from the JUL, or used at the JUL. Campuses are responsible for creating their own buttons.

The button maker is intended for library outreach purposes and to promote student engagement.

Usage Guidelines

  • Currently available only for library staff use.
  • Equipment should be kept on library premises at all times.
  • If use is not related to TCC Libraries, library staff must provide their own supplies.
  • If you design buttons to distribute:
    • Use only public domain, creative commons (CC0), or original images.  Respect copyright!
    • Do not use “TCC Libraries” branding (possible violations of Visual Identity Standards); attaching a label to the back of the button that says TCC Libraries and provides contact information is acceptable. (Labels available on the "Designing Buttons" page)

Campus Supply Tracking

Use the included spreadsheet to keep track of the number of supplies you have available. You MUST be signed in to your MyTCC Google account to access the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is set to automatically calculate the number of supplies you have remaining after you input how many buttons/magnets were created. You are free to download the spreadsheet as an excel file, just note that the protections to prevent the formulas from being erased will NOT transfer to the excel file.
