Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, 2018-  Congresswoman for New York's 14th District and community activist.  Recipient of the 2017 Person of the Year by the National Hispanic Institute. "AOC" as she is commonly known received recognition from MIT Lincoln Lab by having asteroid 23238 named Ocasio-Cortez.

It's easy to take for granted the pocket-size technology that we have access to today. Slow Wi-Fi can paralyze our days, but it's worth mentioning what a computer lab looked like in 1962! Notice the computers filling the room and information on film reels. We've come a long way!
