Wi-Fi Access
TCC-Affiliated Users (students, faculty, staff)
- Must be currently enrolled or employed
- Use SecureTCC
- Students use current VCCS student login credentials (myTCC username and password.)
- Faculty and staff use current TCC network login credentials.
- They do not have to download the app; follow the separate QuickStart instructions if they want to do so.
TCC Community Patrons
- Must have a valid TCC Community Library Card.
- Use AccessTCC; Click on TCC Guest.
- User ID is library card barcode number.
- Password is last name in ALL CAPS
- If Library Card is issued or updated today, will not have Wi-Fi access for up to 36 hours.
VBPL Patrons
- Must have a valid VBPL Library Card.
- VBPL Library Card must have transferred to the TCC library system.
- Use AccessTCC; Click on TCC Guest.
- User ID is library card barcode number.
- Password is last name in ALL CAPS.
- If Library Card is issued or updated today, will not have Wi-Fi access for up to 36 hours.
Need a guest account?
- Under the TCC Guests login box is a link labeled ‘Need a guest account? Click Here.’ This link is not for library patrons. It is for official visitors to the college such as Workforce Development Workshop participants.
- This link requires that a sponsor be entered. Except for a few limited exceptions at the Joint Use Library, library staff cannot sponsor guest access.
Troubleshooting
- If the patron tried to log on to the wrong network and the settings are saved on the device, go to the Wi-Fi settings, forget or disconnect from the wrong network, and then try and log into the correct one.
- If a Community or VBPL patron is unable to log in, check the Alma account for the following:
- Check the last name.
- Was it entered correctly, with initial capital letter only?
- Does it have hyphens, commas, or other odd data anomalies?
- Does it include a suffix such as SR. or JR., the password may be Smith Sr. or Smith Jr.
- Check the account’s expiration date (found under Local Patron Information). If expired, update the record following Community patron update procedures. Wi-Fi should be available the next day.

Connecting to the WIFI
All users are required to sign into TCC's network to access campus Wi-Fi
TCC students: Use your myTCC login credentials
Faculty and staff: Use your current TCC network login credentials
Windows 10
- Click the Wireless icon in the taskbar (bottom right of your Desktop)
- Select SecureTCC from the list of networks
- Enter your TCC network username (faculty/staff) or myTCC username (students) and password
- Click OK
- You will now be connected to the SecureTCC network
macOS
- Click the Wi-Fi menu at the top right of your screen
- Select SecureTCC from the list of networks
- Enter your TCC network username (faculty/staff) or myTCC username (students) and password
- Click Continue when prompted to verify the certificate. Show Certificate will reveal a certificate from “clearpass.tcc.edu”
- Confirm the certificate trust by entering your macOS username and password at the prompt
- You will now be connected to the SecureTCC network
iOS
- Tap the Settings icon
- Tap Wi-Fi
- Make sure your device's Wi-Fi is turned on. Your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks.
- Tap SecureTCC
- Enter your TCC network username (faculty/staff) or myTCC username (students) and password and tap Join
- Tap Trust when the clearpass.tcc.edu certificate appears
- You will now be connected to the SecureTCC network
Android/Chromebook
- Tap the Home button, and then tap the Apps button. Navigate to Settings.
- Under Wireless and Networks, make sure Wi-Fi is turned on, then tap Wi-Fi
- Tap SecureTCC
- A settings window will appear; make sure the following settings are selected:
- EAP method – PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication - MSCHAPV - if domain option is required, use tcc.edu
- CA certificate – Select "Do Not Validate"
- Enter your TCC network username (faculty/staff) or myTCC username (students) and password
- Tap Connect
- You will now be connected to the SecureTCC network
